A great place to grab cafe de olla (spiced and sweetened coffee?) and chat with a friend? They also have a garden space and sell fresh seasonal produce and plastic-free spices / teas / seeds for growing.

The location is very pretty and welcoming. Cafe de Olla and an empanada were delicious. Definitely going to be a regular spot I go to from now on.

Great group of ladies working there, the drinks and pastries are fresh, delicious and authentic. 10/10 recommend and would go back again. The sitting area is so cute, love the outdoor bench seating.

Located on a land share with a local organic farm where you can buy produce. They offer wifi and a great atmosphere on top of delicious and reasonably priced coffees

Loved the matcha and banana bread. The breads are soooo good and not too sweet. They have a good balance of sweet and savory. The swirl of Nutella on the banana bread was divine. There is also a small refill store, farm fresh produce,and hand woven artisanal goods available here. Not to mention they sometimes have really cool events that are centered around community building. I can’t wait to see how this shop grows.

this place is a gem! co-operatively owned cafe which is located inside a beautiful community garden, with lots of tables to work/study & get your dose of vitamin d. my favorites are the banana bread (with nutella!!) and the fresas con crema matcha (amazing strawberry jam inside). service is 10/10, the workers greet you as if you are a regular even if it is your first time coming. the garden (la colmena) hosts some pretty cool events like outdoor markets, open mics, dj parties, & more. be sure to follow them on instagram @lacolmena_coop @lamilpacafe to see what's in store! so happy that this community space exists.

Tucked away in a residential area near Downtown Santa Ana, La Milpa Cafe is a hidden gem. I ordered their iced Matcha Latte with oat milk which was outstanding, equally rich, earthy, creamy, and balanced. The pricing was very reasonable and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I am looking forward to returning to La Milpa and trying the rest of their menu!

La Milpa is an absolute gem! It's a unique, Mexican-owned cafe located inside the "La Colmena" community garden co-op. Their artisan coffee and matcha use fresh ingredients straight from the garden. It's the perfect, peaceful escape from a busy day.
